Useful information

Where is Tanzania?

Tanzania is a country in East-Central Africa, located south of Kenya and bordered by the Indian Ocean to the east. Most of the territory consists of a plateau, but there are also plains along the coastal strip and towards Mozambique; there are also high mountains, among which Mount Kilimanjaro stands out as the highest peak in all of Africa.

What is the best time for a trip to Tanzania?

The best times for a trip to Tanzania are the months between January and March and June and September. Tanzania enjoys a tropical climate: there is no winter or summer, but rather dry or wet seasons. In the north of the country, the rainy seasons are from October to December and from March to June; in the rest of the country, there is a single rainy season from December to April.

Why go to Tanzania?

To discover the wildest and purest side of Africa: an immersion in wildlife, with safaris in search of lions, rhinoceroses, elephants, and giraffes. Let's not forget the numerous bird species for birdwatching enthusiasts. Observing these animals in their natural habitat is a priceless experience.

What to know before going to Tanzania?

It is necessary to have a passport with at least 6 months of remaining validity from the time of travel as well as a visa, regardless of the length of stay (the visa is obtained within a maximum of seven working days). Yellow fever vaccination is mandatory, to be done at the latest 10 days before departure; other vaccines are strongly recommended but not mandatory.

How to dress for a safari in Tanzania?

Choose comfortable, covering clothes in neutral colors to avoid disturbing the animals. Some essential accessories for a safari are a cotton hat, sunglasses, sunscreen and moisturizer, and insect repellent.
