What You Will See

In Portugal, you explore the long beaches washed by the Atlantic and constantly swept by the winds, visit medieval towns, churches, and sanctuaries. You taste the sweet port wine, the vinho verde and the cured meats of Amarante, or the ginjinha of Obidos.
Admire the green and blue waters of the Azores, try the natural thermal waters of Caldeira Velha and dream of diving as if in a Red Bull Cliff Diving competition, at Vila Franca do Campo.
Some must-see stops on our travels:
Lisbona La Alis Ubbo "Riva Deliziosa" dei fenici, la cui leggendaria fondazione rimanda all’eroe omerico Ulisse. Approdo di greci, cartaginesi, romani e mori nordafricani. La città del fado con le sue note malinconiche e degli elevador, le funicolari che sfidano la gravità.
Douro Valley An enchanted valley, land of terraced vineyards, crossed by the river that flows into the Ocean.
Aveiro the 'little Venice' of Portugal located between the sea and the lagoon, crossed by canals.
Porto With its riverfront and its cellars where you can taste the sweet wine that bears its name, the colorful houses and the ups and downs of the streets in the medieval center.

The best time to visit Portugal

Portugal in spring (March-May) and early autumn (September-October) offers a pleasant climate with fewer tourists. Summer is ideal for the beaches. Winter, especially in the north, can be very rainy.
