Nazare Tower

LISBON - OBIDOS - ALCOBACA - NAZARE - BATALHA - FATIMA

195 km - 3 hours
Welcome to Portugal! Let's start your adventure by heading to the designated meeting point for the journey. Traveling through landscapes dotted with windmills and fruit trees, we arrive at Obidos, a beautiful city surrounded by medieval walls. Admire the harmony of the architecture, the diversity of the crafts, and delight your palate with the famous "ginginha" (sour cherry liqueur). Next, we visit the charming Alcobaca and marvel at one of the first great Gothic churches in Portugal, which houses the tombs of the doomed lovers Pedro and Ines de Castro. Then we make a stop at Nazare, a typical fishing village and seaside resort steeped in tradition and legend. We continue to Batalha and visit the Monastery of Santa Maria da Vitoria, a masterpiece of Gothic architecture in Portugal. Here we will find the tomb of Henry the Navigator, the main promoter of Portugal's maritime discoveries. The adventure of this day will conclude at Fatima, where we will have the opportunity to witness a candlelit procession.
There are no meals included during this day. Airport transfer not included. Since the tour starts early in the morning, we recommend arriving in Portugal in the morning, or even better, the day before.

Our journey in Portugal continues towards Coimbra. We visit the University, one of the oldest in the world, with its magnificent baroque library and the unique atmosphere characterized by ancient traditions and customs such as the classic black capes and the melancholic Fado music. We stop at the Church of Santa Clara where the tomb of Queen Saint Isabel is located, to whom the "miracle of the roses" is attributed. In the city center, we will have the chance to admire the exclusive Coimbra ceramics. In the afternoon, we proceed to Aveiro, a city full of fascinating canals and known as the "Venice of Portugal", where we will have time to see the charming "moliceiro" boats and taste the sweet local delicacy of "ovos moles". Later, we arrive in Porto to check in and get ready for a new adventure.

Before embarking on a new adventure, let's enjoy a glass of the famous Port wine. We continue towards Minho, the northwestern region of Portugal that offers natural green landscapes and the effervescent Vinho Verde. We start from Guimaraes, the cradle of this nation and birthplace of the first king of Portugal. Visit the Sacred Hill, crowned by the Castle, and the Palace of the Dukes of Braganza with its original buildings dating back to the 15th century. Transfer to Braga, known as the 'Portuguese Rome' for its strong presence of religious architecture, including the country's oldest cathedral and the Sanctuary of Bom Jesus do Monte, with its famous baroque staircase and gardens. 235 km - 3 hours
We have breakfast at the hotel and get ready for another memorable day in Portugal. Departure for Amarante, a charming town known for its fascinating natural scenery and sweet products. This enchanting city proudly showcases San Goncalo, the well-known patron saint of love and marriage, celebrated every year on the first Saturday of June. We stroll through the charming streets of Amarante, relax along the river, and explore the lively market where you'll find a wide variety of local products. Then, drive to the peaceful Vila Real. Let's enjoy the quiet atmosphere as we visit the main attractions of Vila Real. Be amazed by the gardens of the Mateus estate, with its beautiful facades still depicted on the famous bottles of Portuguese rosé. We continue our adventure driving through the vineyards and breathtaking landscapes of the Douro Valley. We stop at Lamego and taste some of the local delicacies, such as the ham and the famous "Bola de Lamego", a delicious loaf baked with smoked ham. We proceed through the mountainous hinterland to the heart of the Tao vineyards to reach Viseu, a city connected to the oldest hero of Portugal, Viriato, a renowned Lusitanian leader. In the shadow of the Cathedral, narrow streets and doors with carved crests in granite make up the ancient city of Viseo. Lisbon

URGEIRICA - BUSSACO - TOMAR - LISBON

310 km - 3 and a half hours
We travel by car through the heart of Portugal to the beautiful Bussaco. This town is a breath of fresh air for all nature lovers. With its lush forest that is home to a selection of rare trees, plants of exotic beauty, and a romantic and charming hotel that was once a royal hunting residence, Bussaco promises to amaze us! After getting in touch with nature, we continue our tour by visiting the breathtaking Tomar. The development of this beautiful place is closely linked to the Order of the Templars, who were given these lands in 1159 as a reward for their assistance to Dom Afonso Henriques (the first king of Portugal) in the Christian reconquest of the country. Expanded and modified over the centuries and classified by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site, the complex shows the influences of various architectural styles and is the focal point of the city.
