What You Will See

Here you will witness some of the most beautiful sunsets of your life. You will sleep in a luxury lodge in the savannah. You will go boating looking for penguins and on a safari to take pictures of the Big 5: elephants, lions, leopards, rhinoceroses, and buffaloes. You will travel the famous Panorama Route, probably the most beautiful scenic road in the world.
You will attend the traditional local dances and discover African spirituality. You will put on elegant dress to attend the Langa Sunday: a celebration to listen to the sermon, sing, and dance. You will meet the AmaXhosa, the tribe of Nelson Mandela, and experience an intense day of safari on board a four-wheel drive.
Some must-see stops on our travels:
Panorama Route The most breathtaking scenic route. Featuring the Blyde River Canyon, the third largest canyon in the world, the spectacular geological site Bourke’s Luck Potholes, and the panoramic Gods Window.
Karongwe Private Game Reserve Inhabited by the so-called big 5: elephants, lions, leopards, rhinoceroses, and buffaloes. But also hyenas, wild dogs, hippos, crocodiles, and numerous bird species.
Kruger National Park The largest natural reserve in South Africa, a land that was inhabited by early humans as far back as one and a half million years ago.
Stellenbosch The most beautiful town in the country and home to the oldest university. Vibrant murals and a great taste for design and contemporary art.

Useful information

What is the capital of South Africa?

South Africa has three capitals: Pretoria is the administrative capital of the country; Bloemfontein is the judicial capital, while Cape Town is the legislative capital. However, the most populous city is Johannesburg.

What is the currency?

South African Rand (ZAR).

What language is being spoken?

There are 11 official languages. The most widely spoken are English (a lingua franca, very common in all the main locations except for the most remote rural areas), Afrikaans, Zulu, and Xhosa.

What is the religion?

The majority of the population is Christian, predominantly Protestant with a minority of Catholics. Almost a third practice traditional and animist rituals. There are also significant Hindu and Muslim communities.

What travel documents do I need to go to South Africa?

An electronic passport is essential. It must have a remaining validity of at least 30 days beyond the planned departure date from the country, with at least 2 blank pages in the 'Visas' section. Hand-renewed passports are not accepted.

What's the weather like in South Africa?

Mites, especially in the coastal areas, except in the northern part of the eastern coast which has tropical characteristics. The inland areas enjoy a significantly drier climate. The summer, which runs from October to April, is generally warm, cooler in the evening hours. The winter (June - August) is dry and sunny.

What is the best time for a trip to South Africa?

March, April, and May, due to the mildness of the climate, but especially for the lower frequency of rain. For Cape Town, the best period is from November to May: the climate is identical to our summer. However, consider that due to the different latitude, the sun's rays are much more direct and it's easy to get sunburned.
