Why travel to Sweden?

Nature: From the Northern Lights to the midnight sun, from the ice of Swedish Lapland to the green islands of the Stockholm archipelago. In Sweden, nature is the main attraction and certainly does not go unnoticed.
Culture: Or rather, cultures. Not only is Sweden a Scandinavian country bordered by Norway and Finland, but it also has a bridge that connects it to Denmark!
Relax: A trip to Swedish Lapland is even better than a cryotherapy session. And for those who like it hot, a day to spend in the thermal gardens of Gothenburg.
Food: Herring, herring, herring! Wouldn't you like to try the main local ingredient at the most famous kiosk in the entire capital? And to end on a sweet note, the saffron buns.

The best time to visit Sweden

Sweden is magnificent in the summer (June-August) for outdoor activities and watching the midnight sun in the north. Winter is ideal for ski enthusiasts and for seeing the northern lights.

Useful information

How to organize and how much does a trip to Sweden cost?

Easy: choose trips to Sweden with tour operators, with Tramundi. From Swedish Lapland to the capital, a carefully planned itinerary with a local guide to ensure our travelers the best holidays in Sweden. Take a look at our page dedicated to offers and promotions: you will find a tour that meets all your needs and preferences, perhaps a camper trip in Sweden!

What to bring on a trip to Sweden?

Have you been captivated by our last-minute trips to Sweden but haven't thought about what to pack yet? Here's the list you've been waiting for: travel documents for Sweden (ID card or passport), thermal clothing, hiking boots for comfortable excursions, and... a swimsuit for spending a relaxing afternoon in the sauna!

What to see in Sweden (besides Stockholm)?

Besides the capital, another must-visit city is Gothenburg, Sweden's most important commercial port overlooking the North Sea; one of our favorite attractions in the city is the science museum where you can go on a safari in a tropical forest and meet animals of all kinds! And what about Mount Åreskutan, one of the most appreciated mountain resorts in all of Sweden, in summer and at Christmas: ski slopes and a park for birdwatching and mountain biking enthusiasts.

When can you see the Northern Lights in Sweden?

For the travel tips section on Sweden: the northern lights are a constant phenomenon in Sweden but can only be seen under certain light conditions. The best time to witness the dance of the northern lights is from October to March; the latter month is particularly recommended as the temperatures are milder and precipitation is less frequent. Where to see the northern lights? Kiruna and Abisko are among the best locations to enjoy this natural spectacle!

Where to see seals in Norway?

Our quintessential naturalistic location is the Svalbard Islands: here you can encounter walruses, seals, and polar bears basking in the (midnight!) sun on the ice floes. But keep a sharp lookout during your ferry cruise through the Norwegian fjords, you might spot some specimens!

What to see in Norway in August?

If you're heading to Norway in August, here are our tips for making the most of your days. In the summer, cycle up to the Roykjafossen waterfall, climb to the top of Mount Floyen for a unique panoramic view of the city of Bergen, and watch the sunset from the roof of the Oslo Opera House, the capital of Norway. We said at the end of the day, not at the end of the holiday: how about continuing your adventure in Northern Europe with a trip to Finland or a trip to Sweden?
