More information regarding the schedule and meeting point of the first/last day will be provided after booking.

day 1

Reykjavik, Iceland

REYKJAVIK

Upon arrival, we will individually transfer using the Flybus shuttle service from Keflavik airport to our accommodation in Reykjavik. If the weather allows, we will explore the capital of Iceland on our own.
Dinner included. Airport transfer included.

day 2

fishing village of Patreksfjörður

GRÁBRÓK - EIRÍK'S FARM - PATREKSFJORD

We will meet our guide early in the morning and travel westward. The first stop of the day will be at Grábrók, a 3,400-year-old volcanic crater, from where you can enjoy a 360-degree view of the entire valley. We will continue towards Eiríksstaðir, once the home of the world-famous Viking explorers, Erik the Red and his son Leif the Lucky. In a replica of their longhouse and living museum, we will immerse ourselves in the Viking way of life, as well as in Icelandic history and folklore. Later we will stop at the first of many fascinating waterfalls of the Westfjords, the Þingmannaá waterfall. Our resting place for the next two nights will be the picturesque fishing village of Patreksfjörður, a remote village that offers a panoramic view of the fjord and the Greenland Sea.
Breakfast included. Lunch and dinner not provided. Transfers included. Excursions included.

day 3

Red Sand beach

RAUDASANDUR - LATRABJARG - PATREKSFJORDUR

We will start the day at one of the most beautiful beaches in Iceland, Rauðasandur. This iridescent 10-kilometer long beach is named after its extraordinary red sand which blends perfectly with the turquoise sea water, offering stunning photographic opportunities. We will visit the Hnjótur Folk Museum, a perfect introduction to everyday life in the Westfjords, as well as to the history of farming and navigation in Iceland. We will continue towards Látrabjarg, one of the highest sea bird cliffs in Europe. This promontory is also the westernmost point of Iceland, from which one can enjoy an uninterrupted view of the North Atlantic, and the bird colonies such as puffins, razorbills, and guillemots that stretch as far as the eye can see. In our journey today we will also see the wreck of the Garðar ship, the oldest steel ship in Iceland. In the evening, we will return to Patreksfjörður, for a well-deserved rest after a day full of adventures.
Breakfast included. Lunch and dinner not provided. Transfers included. Excursions included.

day 4

Dynjandi waterfall

PATREKSFJORDUR - ONUNDARFJORDUR - FLATEYRI - ISAFJORDUR

Today's tour will start at the waterfall Dynjandi, widely considered one of the most impressive and beautiful waterfalls in Iceland. Dynjandi features a tiered structure that creates an ethereal flow of smaller cascades. We will continue to travel along the coast and fjords to the picturesque pier of Önundarfjörður. Jutting out from a stunning golden beach well into the water, the pier is the perfect spot to enjoy panoramic views of the fjord. Visiting the village of Flateyri, we will stop at a hidden gem, Gamla bókabúðin or "The Old Bookstore". Operating since 1914, this charming little shop is a great place to look for unique souvenirs and appreciate traditional Icelandic design in its most refined form. We will learn more about the history of Flateyri and the devastating avalanche of 1995, venturing up to the avalanche barriers built to protect the population from future tragedies. In the afternoon, we will arrive at the largest town in the Westfjords, Ísafjörður, which will be our resting place for the next two nights.
Breakfast included. Lunch and dinner not provided. Transfers included. Excursions included.

day 5

Ísafjörður

ÍSAFJÖRÐUR

This morning we will venture onto the 640-meter-high Bolafjall mountain, which boasts a steel panoramic platform jutting out from the cliff with a breathtaking view of the sea and nearby fjords, not suitable for the faint of heart. We will visit the restored fishing hut at the Ósvör Maritime Museum, to learn about the bygone times of rowboat fishing and the challenging life in isolated fishing villages in the 19th century. Later we will head to the village of Suðureyri, where we will take an informative walk around town and have the opportunity to taste delicious seafood from a local producer, promising to introduce us to the rich heritage and fishing traditions of Iceland. In the afternoon, enjoy some free time for relaxation at Ísafjörður, or take part in an optional additional activity, such as an exciting ATV tour around Ísafjörður or a visit to the beautiful island of Vigur, a long and narrow island that is home to a large number of puffins, Arctic terns, razorbills, and more.
Breakfast included. Lunch and dinner not included. Transfers included. Excursions included. Optional activities not included.

day 6

Breiðafjörður Bay

ÍSAFJÖRÐUR - REYKJANES - BREIÐAFJÖRÐUR

Today we will travel along the fjords of Ísafjarðardjúp, where we can enjoy incredible views - if we're lucky, we might even spot a whale! We will visit the Saltverk salt factory at Reykjanes and learn about the salt production process, powered 100% by geothermal energy. Our next stop will take us to the picturesque village of Hólmavík, and its Museum of Icelandic Sorcery and Witchcraft. Here we will learn about the history and folklore surrounding witchcraft and magic in Iceland and explore an extensive collection of artifacts such as ancient grimoires, ritual objects, and the remarkable Icelandic magic staves, believed to possess protective and magical powers. After an exciting day of discoveries, we will travel to the remote Vogur Country Lodge in Western Iceland. This lodging place is a truly peaceful and beautiful spot near the extraordinary Breiðafjörður Bay.
Breakfast included. Lunch and dinner not provided. Transfers included. Excursions included.

day 7

Reykjavik Cathedral

REYKJAVIK

After a long week full of discoveries, we will head back towards the city of Reykjavík, with some wonderful stops along the way. We will depart from Hraunfossar or "the lava waterfalls", fed by a glacial river that travels for hundreds of kilometers filtering through the lava, making it seem as though the water emerges from the volcanic rocks. Then we will visit a horse farm, where we will have the opportunity to meet one of Iceland's fluffiest and friendliest residents, the Icelandic horse. In the afternoon, we will explore the capital, learning about its history and stopping at its numerous points of interest.
