ENTEBBE

Welcome to Uganda! Our journey begins with the arrival at the Entebbe International Airport, where we are warmly greeted by our local team. A comfortable transfer to our hotel follows, where we proceed with the check-in. Get ready for an unforgettable experience!
Dinner included. Airport transfer included. It is possible to store luggage at the hotel even before check-in.

day 2

ZIWA RHINO SANCTUARY – MURCHISON FALLS NATIONAL PARK

Today we head towards the city of Masindi and the vast Murchison Falls Conservation Area, the largest in Uganda. Our first wildlife adventure will be a walk in the Ziwa Reserve, a conservation project that has reintroduced the rare white rhinos to Uganda. We will have the opportunity to walk alongside these gigantic mammals in their natural habitat. We'll have lunch at a local restaurant. After Masindi, we will enter the Murchison Falls National Park. We'll arrive at the 'Top of the Falls', the highest point of the Murchison Falls, where the Nile narrows into a tight gorge of only 7 meters before plunging 43 meters into the Albertine Rift Valley, creating a powerful roar and a series of fascinating sprays and rainbows. In the evening, we will reach our lodge, where dinner and overnight stay await us.

MURCHISON FALLS NATIONAL PARK

We start the day with an exciting photo safari, where we will be accompanied by lions, giraffes, elephants, buffaloes, antelopes, and a variety of bird species. We continue towards the Nile Delta at Lake Albert. In the afternoon, a boat adventure on the Nile awaits us, surrounded by hippos and crocodiles. At the end of the day, we return to the comfort of our lodge.

RIFT VALLEY ALBERTINA – KIBALE NATIONAL PARK

This morning after breakfast we will leave the park heading south, passing through stunning places and scenic spots along the Albertine Rift Valley. You will pass through green plantations of tea, bananas, and coffee. We will cross Hoima, the capital of the Bunyoro Kingdom, and the Bugoma forest where we organize lunch and a short nature walk. Continuing to Fort Portal, the capital of the Tooro Kingdom at the foot of the Rwenzori Mountains and the Kasenda crater lakes region. Dinner and overnight stay.
Breakfast, lunch, and dinner included. Transfers included. Excursions included. Today's transfer will last from 6 to 8 hours depending on road conditions, covering a distance of about 350 km.

KIBALE NATIONAL PARK – BIGODI – QUEEN ELIZABETH NATIONAL PARK

This morning we are participating in a trekking accompanied by chimpanzees in the Kibale National Park, which hosts the highest concentration of primates in Uganda. Not only that, but also black and white colobus monkeys, red-tailed monkeys, and velvet monkeys. Lunch with local food before resuming in the afternoon with a guided walk to discover the Bigodi community, with the support of the KAFRED organization; we get to know the Batoro and Bakiga peoples and plant a tree at the reforestation site of a local project. In the evening we reach the Queen Elizabeth National Park, where our lodge is located.

QUEEN ELIZABETH NATIONAL PARK – ISHASHA

We start the day with an exciting photo safari in the Queen Elizabeth National Park, where we will have the opportunity to spot lions, leopards, elephants, buffaloes, hyenas, and Ugandan kobs. After this adventure, we return for a refreshing lunch. In the afternoon, we look forward to a boat excursion along the picturesque natural Kazinga Channel, a perfect place to observe the various animal species that come to drink at the banks. We conclude the day by moving to the Ishasha sector of the park, for further discoveries.

ISHASHA – LAKE BUNYONYI

This morning we are participating in a photo safari at Ishasha, an area famous for its tree-climbing lions in fig trees; but also elephants, topi antelopes, buffaloes, spotted hyenas, Ugandan kob, waterbucks and numerous bird species. After lunch, we reach Lake Bunyonyi, in the Kigezi highlands region, where our lodge is located.
Breakfast, lunch, and dinner included. Transfers included. Excursions included. Today's transfer will take about 5 hours on mountain roads, covering approximately 140 km.

LAKE BUNYONYI – BWINDI NATIONAL PARK / MGAHINGA GORILLA NATIONAL PARK

After a boat trip on Lake Bunyonyi, the deepest in the country, in the afternoon we set off towards the Virunga Conservation Area, where we find the Bwindi National Park and the Mgahinga Gorilla National Park; right here is where our lodge is located.
Breakfast, lunch, and dinner included. Transfers included. Excursions included. Depending on gorilla trekking permits, the trekking may take place in Mgahinga or Bwindi.

BWINDI NATIONAL PARK / MGAHINGA GORILLA NATIONAL PARK

Today we dive into a trekking adventure to discover the mountain gorilla families, an experience that takes place in the Mgahinga Gorilla National Park or in the Bwindi Park. Meeting a gorilla in its natural habitat is an unforgettable experience! In the afternoon, we cross the Cyanika border to enter Rwanda and reach our cozy lodge. This is a unique experience that awaits us!

VOLCANO PARK – KIBUYE

This morning you can choose to participate in an activity between a walk in the Volcanoes Park to discover the old Karisoke Research Center with the tomb of Dian Fossey or a visit to the golden monkeys, a primate species endemic to the area. In the afternoon, we visit one of the ecotourism projects of the local communities. At the end of the excursion, we reach Kibuye, where our hotel is located.

LAKE KIVU – CYANGUGU

This morning there is an opportunity to participate in an optional excursion which includes cycling along the shore or a boat or kayak trip on Lake Kivu, to see the Napoleon Island. In the afternoon we reach Cyangugu, near the entrance to the Nyungwe Forest, where our accommodation is located.

NYUNGWE NATIONAL PARK

Waking up early to make our entrance at dawn into the Nyungwe Forest, where our chimpanzee trekking and other 13 species of primates including the Angolan colobus. We explore the park which spans over 970 square kilometers of lush hills, before returning to our accommodation for lunch.

BUTARE – NYANZA – KIGALI

After breakfast, visit to Butare, the second-largest city in Rwanda and the cultural capital of the country, home to the national university. In Butare, you can find the national museum as well as a range of shops from small artisan producers, known for their basket weaving and wood inlay work. Another valuable stop is on the road to Kigali to visit the royal palace of Rwanda's traditional king, the Mwami, at Nyanza. Lunch along the way. Arrival in Kigali in the evening, reserved for departure from the Kigali International Airport.
Breakfast and lunch included; dinner on your own. Excursions included. Today's journey is about 5/6 hours of travel, covering approximately 260 km. For those interested, there is the option to extend this tour by 2 days, contact us for more information.

Do you want your journey to be endless? Request the 2-day and 1-night Akagera National Park extension.
Remember to bring a valid passport with an expiration date not less than 6 months at the time of entry into the country.
The itinerary may be subject to some changes before and/or during the trip.

The guides welcome the clients upon arrival at Entebbe airport after passport control and after retrieving their luggage in the area outside the arrivals. The guides are not allowed in the aforementioned protected areas.
