ADDIS ABABA - AWASA

Arrive at Addis Ababa. Meet your representative at the airport, have breakfast, and begin the tour of the capital: visit the National Museum and the Ethnographic Museum. Later, transfer to the hotel for check-in and rest. In the evening, enjoy Ethiopian jazz at the Jazzamba Lounge at the Taitu Hotel or Ethiopian jazz at the African Jazz Village in the Ghion Hotel. Meals on your own; overnight stay at the Ghion Hotel or similar.
Lunch and dinner not included. Transfers not included. Excursions included. It is recommended to take a flight that arrives in the morning or the day before so as not to miss today's excursions.

AWASA

Have breakfast and drive to the Awash National Park. Awash National Park is home to over 81 species of mammals and 43 species of reptiles. Here, the Beisa oryx are common for their populations. Other species in the park include lions, leopards, cheetahs, caracals, hippos, spotted hyenas, striped hyenas, Soemmerring's gazelles, waterbucks, necked-spotted otters, rock hyraxes, klipspringers, Salt's dik-diks, lesser kudus, greater kudus, and warthogs. In the afternoon, go on a safari and visit the Awash River falls and the hot springs. Dinner and overnight stay at Doho Lodge.

Morning safari, later have lunch and drive towards Harar. Dinner and overnight stay at a hotel.

HARAR

Visit Harar, surrounded by an ancient defensive wall with several large gates. The city is known for its labyrinthine alleys and traditional houses decorated inside with flat hanging baskets. A replica house is on display at the Harar Community Center Museum. A holy city for Islam, Harar is home to numerous mosques, including the Great Jami Mosque with its tall white minarets. Visit the homes of the Adere people, the markets, the mosques, and the house of the French poet Rimbaud. In the evening, witness the performances of the hyena man: a man who feeds wild hyenas. Meals in a city restaurant and overnight stay in a hotel.

HARAR - BABILE

We will reach Babylon, the valley of wonders, home to numerous elephants and other animals. In the afternoon, head towards Dire Dawa and visit the markets, the famous Djibouti-Addis Ababa railway station and take a city tour. Lunch at a restaurant in Harar; dinner and overnight stay at a hotel in Dire Dawa.

AWEDAE - SODORE

Drive early in the morning to Awedae to visit the wonderful Chad market. Visit a village and the Afar people along the way. Then continue towards the city of Nazareth and the hot springs and pools of Sodore. Lunch on the way; dinner and overnight stay at the Sodore resort.

BALE

Join us on a journey to the Bale Mountains. The Bale Mountains are home to truly unique flora and fauna, featuring Afro-Alpine vegetation and endemic mammals. Enjoy a lunch on the trail; dinner and overnight stay at the Wabe Shebele hotel in Bale Goba.

SANETE - TULUDIMTU

In the morning, visit to the Sanete plateau, known for its unique Afro-alpine vegetation and for spotting various animals, including the Semien red fox, endemic to the area. In the afternoon, drive to the Tuludimtu forest to observe animals such as the mountain Nyala, also endemic. Packed lunch along the way; dinner and overnight stay at a hotel.

TULUDIMTU

Drive towards the Sheik Hussein sanctuary. Alternatively, take walks in Dinsho. Packed lunch; dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.

SHASHAMANE

Drive to Shashamane, the city of the famous Rastafarians. Visit a Rastafarian house and museum. Then continue to the hot springs and mountains at Wondo Genet. Lunch in Shashamane; dinner and overnight stay at the Wabe Shebele in Wondo Genet.

day 11

LANGANO AND ZWAY - ADDIS ABABA

Then continue towards the Rift Valley lakes of Langano and Zway, for numerous birds and very beautiful views. Then continue the return journey to Addis Ababa. Lunch along the way; dinner and overnight stay at the hotel or transfer to the airport for departure.
