MYKONOS

Welcome to Mykonos, in Greece! Our adventure begins with a welcome meeting at 4:00 PM at the Cantina Souvlaki Mykonos restaurant located in the new port of Mykonos. The first stop is the local supermarket to buy supplies for the group trip. The starter pack includes provisions for some breakfasts, lunches, and/or snacks. Before and after the meeting, we have some time to explore Mykonos and relax on one of the island's sandy beaches. We wander through the town's streets, visit the Church of Panagia Paraportiani or browse the galleries, chic restaurants, and boutiques. In the evening, we stroll to Little Venice to enjoy a sunset cocktail.

day 2

Naxos Peninsula

NAXOS

Our journey in Greece begins heading towards Gaidharos Bay for breakfast and a swim, before crossing the sparkling water to Naxos. We discover the beautiful beaches, fragrant olive groves, and the charming villages of Hora, the capital of Naxos. The old town areas of Hora are perfect for a stroll or to partake in the lively nightlife. The best beach choices are to the south, where water sports are also available. We follow a path up to the imposing Venetian Kastro, where palaces, monuments, and churches all retain their medieval spirit amidst a maze of winding alleys. We stop at the ancient Roman Catholic cathedral in the square and the nearby Archaeological Museum housed in the former Jesuit School of Commerce. We can choose to join an optional excursion into the countryside to get a glimpse of local rural life, visit one of the oldest temples in Greece, then relax on the hills with lunch at a family tavern.

day 3

coast of Syros

SYROS

Our journey in Greece continues towards the island of Syros passing through the bay of Gaidharos on the way for a swim. Known for its relaxed atmosphere and neoclassical architecture, the neutral role of Syros during the Greek revolution made it a safe haven for the persecuted. We take the opportunity to taste the authentic Greek cuisine and to savor its culture!

day 4

SMALL CYCLADES

Our journey to discover Greece continues with sailing towards the Lesser Cyclades. While all the islands hosted communities in ancient times, the Middle Ages saw them reduced to only pirates and goats. Today, only Koufonisia, Irakleia, Schoinousa, and Donousa have permanent residents, with the largest population said to be around 300 inhabitants. Characterized by clear waters, large beaches, friendly people, and sleepy taverns, all built around picturesque fishing villages, the islands are an ideal overnight anchorage. We explore the town and taste some fresh fish at a seaside tavern.

day 5

cliff with a small white house

AMORGOS

The next is a short sail to the rugged and mountainous island of Amorgos, known to the world as the stunning location of Luc Besson's film, "The Big Blue". Katapola, the island's main port, features classic Cycladic architecture with windmills and an ancient Venetian castle. The waterfront is an excellent place to relax in restaurants, cafes, and bars. We will take a tour to the spectacular 11th-century monastery, Moni Hozoviotissa. Built clinging to the cliff face, it boasts spectacular panoramic views of the Aegean Sea. Wander through the labyrinth of narrow stone alleys and Byzantine churches that surround the town square.

day 6

IOS

We continue to Ios, an island inhabited since the early times of the Cyclades, which proudly claims to be the burial place of the epic Greek poet Homer. Ios has managed to preserve a certain charm thanks to the abundance of beaches and the conservation of its classic cubic houses clustered around the alleys of Hora. A short walk from the port, the shops, restaurants, nightclubs, bars, and cafes of Hora come alive in the evening. The famous beaches of Gialos and Milopotas are also lively at night with a wide range of water sports offered during the day. The view of the sunset can be admired from the top of the hill where Panagia Gremiotissa, or Church of the Virgin, is located. In the afternoon we sail towards Santorini, spending the last night of the trip at Thirasia, a small island about half an hour from Oia, Santorini.

day 7

SANTORINI

Formed by a massive volcanic explosion, Santorini is immediately recognizable with its blue and white buildings, fascinating ruins, and extraordinary natural beauty. After making our entrance by sailing through the remarkable caldera, all the bustle of this beautiful island is there to be embraced. The vibrant capital of Fira, perched on the edge of the caldera, offers an exciting range of restaurants, shops, and bars. Santorini's volcanic beaches are a must-see: the tiny red and black pebbles of Red Beach are surrounded by spectacular cliffs of red lava rock, while the best black beaches are Perissa, Vlihada, Perivolos, and Agios Georgios. The whitewashed Cycladic houses and the ancient Venetian and Byzantine-inspired architecture pack a truly picturesque punch. Let's discover the Orthodox Metropolitan Cathedral, the Catholic Cathedral, and the Dominican Convent. The Megaron Gyzi Museum, the Museum of Prehistoric Thira, and the Archaeological Museum are also worth a visit.
