Once we touch down, we'll whisk you away to the UNESCO World Heritage Site, Tikal Archaeological Park, also known as the 'Place of Voices'. This majestic Maya city is one of the largest and most monumental discoveries in the Mayan World. We'll take you on a guided tour through the arenas, monuments, and major temples, all while you marvel at the rainforest, home to hundreds of exotic birds and a plethora of wild animals. When we reach Lake Izabal, Guatemala's largest lake, we'll be treated to a panoramic view of the Castillo de San Felipe de Lara. This 17th-century fortress was built by the Spanish to guard the warehouses along the lake's shores. Our voyage concludes in Livingston, a village unlike any other in Guatemala. Populated by the Garífunas, descendants of African slaves and native islanders from Saint Vincent, Livingston's distinct charm is palpable. We'll take a short tour around the village, soaking in the vibrant music that fills every corner.
Breakfast included. Free lunch and dinner. Transfers included. Excursions included.

LIVINGSTON - QUIRIGUA - GUATEMALA CITY

Once we've enjoyed our morning meal, we'll embark on a boat journey across the serene Rio Dulce, heading towards the quaint village of the same name. Our adventure continues to the Quiriguá archaeological site, nestled on the shores of the Motagua River. This compact yet fascinating site is home to an array of intricately carved stelae and colossal monoliths sculpted from volcanic stone. Among these, stands the tallest stela of the Mayan world, towering at an impressive height of over 10.60 meters. Post lunch, our journey takes us back to the bustling Guatemala City.

Its cobblestone streets, vibrant bougainvillea draped over dilapidated buildings, colorful walls adorned with characteristic balconies, brick ceilings, parks with fountains, and a breathtaking landscape set against the backdrop of three volcanoes: Agua, Fuego, and Acatenango, make Antigua one of the most beautiful colonial cities in the Americas and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Our tour commences with a visit to Antigua's historic center, beginning at Central Park and covering all major monuments. Post lunch, we'll explore the quaint villages of San Juan del Obispo, renowned for housing one of Guatemala's first Catholic churches, and Santa Maria de Jesús, nestled under the slopes of Volcán de Agua and home to a 17th-century temple in its central square.
