PERUGIA

Start your day with a delightful breakfast at the hotel. We recommend dedicating your day to exploring the artistic and historical city of Perugia. Nestled between the Tiber Valley and Lake Trasimeno, this city offers a unique blend of natural beauty and cultural richness. Make your way to the fortress, the heart of the historic center, surrounded by Etruscan and medieval walls. Our suggested itinerary includes a city tour featuring the Palazzo dei Priori, currently serving as the Town Hall and the Umbrian National Gallery. Don't miss the Fontana Maggiore, a city symbol and a stunning example of sculpture crafted by Nicola and Giovanni Pisano in 1280. Visit the Cathedral of San Lorenzo, a historical monument dating back to the mid-fourteenth century. Explore the Noble College of Exchange, the ancient hub of bankers and money changers, which is a treasure trove in itself. The Audience Hall showcases a series of frescoes by Pietro Perugino, a masterpiece created by the artist at the peak of his career in the late fifteenth century. After the tour, enjoy some free time in the city center. We suggest a stop at one of Perugia's historic pastry shops to savor a chocolate specialty or a visit to the Galleria Nazionale Umbra inside the Palazzo dei Priori. If you're visiting in October, you might have the chance to visit the Eurochocolate stands in Perugia. End your day with a comfortable stay at the hotel in Lago Trasimeno. Sweet dreams!
Breakfast included. Lunch and dinner not included. Excursions not included. Transfers with your own rental car included.

day 3

church assisi

ASSISI

Start your day with a delightful breakfast at the hotel. We recommend dedicating this day to exploring the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Assisi. This town is a treasure trove of human creativity, with every stone whispering tales of its most famous resident, Saint Francis, the Patron of Italy. Begin your journey with the Basilica of Santa Maria degli Angeli, home to the 'Porziuncola', where Saint Francis breathed his last. This sacred site, once neglected, was restored by Francis himself in 1207. Next, head to the heart of the town to marvel at the Basilica of San Francesco, which houses the tomb of the Saint and stunning frescoes by Giotto and his pupils. Wander through the charming alleys to reach the Church of S. Chiara, where you'll find the relics of the Saint and the wooden crucifix that, as per tradition, spoke to Saint Francis. After a day steeped in art and spirituality, return to your hotel in Lago Trasimeno for a restful night.
Breakfast included. Lunch and dinner not included. Excursions not included. Transfers with your own rental car included.

day 4

street in spoleto

SPELLO - SPOLETO

Start your day with a delightful breakfast at our hotel. We recommend dedicating your day to exploring the enchanting cities of Spello and Spoleto in Umbria. Begin your journey in Spello, a charming medieval village nestled on the slopes of Mount Subasio, recognized as one of Italy's most beautiful. Don't miss the Baglioni Chapel in the Collegiate Church of Santa Maria Maggiore, renowned for its 16th-century frescoes by Pinturicchio and the exquisite Deruta ceramic floors. Next, head to Spoleto and immerse yourself in its rich history. Visit the Roman Theatre, the Mauri Palace, the Church of Sant'Ansano, and the Arch of Druso. In the afternoon, marvel at the Marmore Falls, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This breathtaking natural spectacle features a roaring waterfall cascading over three leaps, standing over 165 meters high. Enjoy a leisurely walk along one of the park's trails. As the day concludes, return to the comfort of our hotel for a restful night's sleep.
Breakfast included. Lunch and dinner not included. Excursions not included. Transfers with your own rental car included.

day 5

gubbio streetview

GUBBIO

Start your day with a delightful breakfast at the hotel before we embark on a journey to Gubbio. Our suggested itinerary includes a trip to Gubbio, one of Umbria's oldest towns nestled at the base of Mount Ingino. Explore the historic heart of the city, featuring the Piazza Grande, a stunning terrace overlooking the city. Don't miss the Palazzo dei Consoli, known for its distinctive crenellated profile, the Cathedral, and the Renaissance-style Ducal Palace, a testament to Federico da Montefeltro's legacy. If you're up for an adventure, consider an optional funicular ride up Mount Ingino (additional charges apply) to the Basilica of Sant'Ubaldo, the city's protector. After a day of exploration, we'll return to the hotel for a restful night's sleep.
Breakfast included. Lunch and dinner not included. Excursions not included. Transfers with your own rental car included.

day 6

panorama urbino

URBINO

Start your day with a delightful breakfast at our hotel, then we recommend a trip to Urbino. Our suggested itinerary begins with a journey to Urbino, a city rich in history and the birthplace of the early Italian Renaissance. Explore the historic center, including a visit to the Duomo and the House of Raffaello, a humble abode purchased by his father, Giovanni Santi, a humanist, poet, and painter at the Montefeltro court. This is where Raffaello was born in 1483. The house features a small fresco attributed to the young Raffaello, known as the 'Madonna di Casa Santi' in reading. Continue your tour with a visit to the Doge’s Palace, home to the National Gallery of the Marche. Here, you'll find masterpieces such as 'Portrait of a gentleman' or 'la Muta' by Raffaello, 'Flagellation' and 'Madonna di Senigallia' by Piero della Francesca, and 'Città ideale', previously attributed to L.Laurana. The gallery also houses a collection of paintings and sculptures from the 13th to the 18th century. Don't miss the Studiolo del Duca, the most intimate room of the Palace, a unique masterpiece of wood inlay, commissioned by Federico di Montefeltro. After a day full of exploration, return to the comfort of your hotel for a restful night's sleep.
Breakfast included. Lunch and dinner not included. Excursions not included. Transfers with your own rental car included.

day 7

loreto square

JESI - LORETO

Start your day with a hearty breakfast at the hotel before we set off for Jesi. Here, we'll explore the birthplace of Emperor Frederick II of SVEVIA, right in the heart of the city square. We'll also visit the magnificent Cathedral of San Settimio and the Frederick II Stupor Mundi Museum, the first extensive multimedia museum dedicated to the Swabian Emperor. This museum brings to life the story of Frederick II through sixteen themed rooms. We'll also take in the 15th-century Palazzo della Signoria, a stunning example of Renaissance civil architecture. Next, we'll journey to Loreto, home to one of Christianity's most significant Marian shrines, second only to Lourdes in the Pyrenees. Here, we'll visit the Basilica of Loreto, a Renaissance art masterpiece, crafted entirely from white Istrian stone by Donato Bramante. Inside, you'll find the Santa Casa, housed in a beautiful marble casket, designed by Donato Bramante in 1509 on behalf of Pope Julius II and completed by Andrea Sansovino and Antonio da Sangallo the Younger. The bas-reliefs that adorn the precious altar depict scenes from Mary's life and are considered a true masterpiece of Renaissance art. We'll then return to the hotel for a restful overnight stay.
Breakfast included. Lunch and dinner not included. Excursions not included. Transfers with your own rental car included.
