taormina by night

ETNA - TAORMINA

Start your day with a delightful breakfast at the hotel. Today, you have the freedom to explore Etna & Taormina. We recommend starting your morning with a drive to Mt. Etna, Sicily's highest peak and Europe's most active volcano. The journey will take you through the 'Park of Etna', one of Italy's largest protected areas. You'll be amazed by the diverse vegetation and landscapes we'll encounter before reaching the 'Silvestri Craters' (around 1,900 mt). From this point, you can choose to extend your adventure with a jeep excursion. We suggest a stopover at a local beekeeper's place to sample quality honey and wine, and learn about their production. In the afternoon, we'll visit Taormina, perched on a plateau on the slopes of the steeply dropping Monte Tauro, offering commanding views of the Ionian coast from Capo Sant’Andrea to Capo Taormina. You'll have the opportunity to visit the Greek-Roman theatre, Sicily's 2nd largest classical theatre. We'll then return to the hotel for a restful night. Your unforgettable day ends here.
Breakfast included. Excursions not included. Transfers with your rental car included.

day 3

panoramic view of syracuse

CATANIA - SYRACUSE

Embark on a journey to Catania after a hearty breakfast. Nestled on the slopes of Etna, this city is a treasure trove of grand and opulent structures. We recommend exploring the traditional fish market (note: it's closed on Sundays) and taking a leisurely walk around the city center. The center, adorned with historic and quintessential baroque buildings, has been declared a World Heritage Site 'HUMANITY' by UNESCO, along with other towns in the Val di Noto. Post the city tour, we'll head to Syracuse, a captivating site on the island. Here, you can explore the Archaeological Park, renowned for its Roman amphitheater, the Greek theater, and the ear of Dionysus. Extend your exploration to the island of Ortigia, the city's oldest part, known for its narrow lanes, sea views, and the stunning square with its magnificent cathedral. We'll then proceed to Ragusa/Syracuse for an overnight stay.
Breakfast included. Excursions not included. Transfers with your rental car included.

day 4

sea view of modica

RAGUSA - MODICA - NOTO

Start your day with a delightful breakfast at the hotel. Today, you have the freedom to explore the enchanting towns of Modica and Noto. We suggest a journey into the lesser-known side of Sicily, a region steeped in grandiose Baroque architecture, numerous UNESCO sites, and the backdrop for the popular TV series, 'Il Commissario Montalbano'. Begin your exploration in the historic heart of Ragusa, 'Ibla', a town adorned with numerous baroque churches and palaces, and distinctive domes that overlook the city. Ragusa is a proud member of the UNESCO list, boasting 18 World Heritage Sites. Next, head to Modica, a UNESCO World Heritage city renowned for its delectable chocolate and stunning architecture. We recommend meandering through the ascending alleyways, and once you reach the hill's peak, you'll be rewarded with a breathtaking city panorama. Continue your adventure to Noto, a city that earned its place on the UNESCO World Heritage Sites list in 2002. After a day of exploration, return to the comfort of your hotel for a restful night's sleep.
Breakfast included. Excursions not included. Transfers with your rental car included.

day 6

monuments of palermo

PALERMO - MONREALE

Start your day with a delightful breakfast at the hotel. You have the freedom to choose between exploring the wonders of Palermo and Monreale or unwinding on the serene beach of Mondello. We suggest an itinerary that begins with a stroll through the city of Palermo, a place of endless surprises and home to countless treasures, some of which are recognized as UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Begin your journey at the Cathedral, housing the tombs of Emperor Frederick II and several Norman kings. From there, traverse through a beautiful palm garden to reach the Royal Palace, also known as Palazzo dei Normanni. This palace was the residence of Sicilian kings from the 11th to the 19th century. Here, you can marvel at rooms showcasing various styles and the Palatine Chapel, renowned for its golden mosaics. As you walk along Corso Vittorio Emanuele and Via Maqueda, you'll come across the four city songs, an octagonal square featuring the convex facades of stunning 17th-century buildings. Don't miss the vibrant 'Il Capo' market, reminiscent of an Arab souk, where locals shop for fresh produce amidst a riot of colors, aromas, and flavors. End your city tour at the Teatro Massimo. In the afternoon, we recommend a trip to Monreale, a village 7 km from Palermo, famous for its splendid Arab-Norman style Cathedral, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, adorned with 3,500 square meters of polychrome mosaics on a golden background. Nearby, you can visit the cloister with its 80 pairs of unique twin columns. After a day of exploration, return to the hotel for a restful night. We suggest discovering the city in an Ape, a traditional three-wheeled vehicle, for a fun and unique way to see the hidden corners of the ancient city. Spend the night in Palermo.
