Marrakech Square

MARRAKECH

Welcome to Morocco! Menara Airport, considered one of the top 10 most beautiful terminals in the world, welcomes us with its refined arabesques. We meet the staff for the transfer to the hotel, dinner, and the trip introduction.

day 2

Morocco

MARRAKECH – KASBAH TELOUET – KASBAH AIT BENHADOU – OUARZAZATE

220 km
We leave early, off-road, heading towards Ouarzazate. We cross the Tizi-n-Tichka Pass. We make a stop at the Telouet Kasbah, on the old caravan route to the Sahara. We set off again for Ait Benhaddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site, one of the best-preserved Ksars in all of southern Morocco. We arrive at Ouarzazate, the city that rises in a pre-Saharan oasis. We want to visit it. We stop in front of the Taourirt Kasbah for a souvenir photo.

Roads in the desert in Morocco

OUARZAZATE – TINEGHIR – ERFOUD – MERZOUGA

We take the road to Boumalne and El Kelâa, passing through Skoura. We encounter the beautiful Kasbah of Amerhidel, until we reach the Dades Canyon, with its gorges carved into the red rock. We get off the off-road vehicle to admire it better. We continue towards Tinghir and its magnificent Todra Canyon. Sheer cliffs and unexpected thrills. Back in the off-road vehicle until Erfoud, then Merzouga. We are in the desert: we dine and spend the night in a tent.

Desert dunes in Morocco

MERZOUGA – KHAMLIA – ZAGORA

Dawn over the sand dunes of Merzouga is unforgettable.
We discover the meaning of hospitality while having breakfast in a tent. We set off for Zagora; along the way, we visit the Khamlia village and the Moulay Ali Cherif Mausoleum. We reach our destination for the evening.

Moroccan desert ruins

ZAGORA – OUARZAZATE – MARRAKECH

360 km
We are heading towards Marrakesh from Agdz, on the road that leads through numerous villages and palm groves along the Drâa River. We reach Ouarzazate and continue through the Tizin Tichka pass, all the way to Marrakesh.

Majorelle Gardens in Marrakech

MARRAKECH – MAJORELLE GARDENS

This morning we explore Bahia Palace, Koutoubia Minaret and the Menara Gardens, must-see attractions of the city of Marrakech. In the afternoon we visit the Majorelle Gardens: a walk through the lush greenery of the vegetation and the iconic blue with which the namesake painter decorated his studio. We end our day among the souks of Jamaa El Fna Square.

It's the day of return, we head back to the airport of Marrakesh.
Still in mind are the desert dunes, the canyons, the palm groves, the magical gardens of southern Morocco.
We thank and greet our fellow travelers, but most of all the country that welcomed us during these days.
