Start your day with a delightful breakfast at the hotel. We'll then embark on an exciting journey to the Vatican Museum and St. Peter’s Basilica. We'll explore the gallery, visiting renowned spots like the Gallery of Maps, the Gallery of Tapestries, and the Borgia Apartments. Our guide will share intriguing insights about the Raphael Rooms and their extraordinary frescoes, including The School of Athens. We'll also visit the Sistine Chapel, home to one of the High Renaissance's most significant works. Our tour wouldn't be complete without a visit to St. Peter’s Basilica, the world's largest church housing several fine art pieces. We'll marvel at the canopy designed by Gian Lorenzo Bernini and the Pietà by Michelangelo. Finally, we'll admire the grandeur of St. Peter’s Square, an architectural masterpiece of the Baroque age. We'll then have a free afternoon with an optional transfer back to the hotel for an overnight stay. In the afternoon, we recommend a walking tour starting from the lush parks of Villa Borghese to the Pincio belvedere, offering a stunning view of Rome. We'll then proceed to Piazza del Popolo and Via Margutta, famous from the film 'Roman Holiday', and continue to Piazza di Spagna and the Trevi Fountain. We suggest visiting the Galleria Colonna and the inner courtyard of the Galleria Sciarra, the Church of Sant'Ignazio, the Elephant Obelisk in Piazza della Minerva, and the Pantheon. Near the Pantheon, we recommend trying the homemade ice cream at Giolitti, a family-run business for three generations.
